Back in January of 1991 the girl’s mother, Patricia Morris, bought a small flower shop in Wingo, Kentucky right next door to the Brown funeral home. Patricia had been working in local flower shops around Mayfield, including Lawson’s and Town & Country for several years.
Natalie began working and designing alongside her mother in Wingo. Here Natalie was trained by the late Robbie Kell, who had been a floral designer for most of her life and had a gift for teaching the foundations of good design.
Kellie and her husband Scott bought the flower shop from Kellie’s parents when they got married in 1993 and sold the flower shop when their daughter was born in 1995.
Eventually, the sisters started working for a corporate event planner out of Dallas, Texas. They traveled to Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, The Homestead in Virginia, Austin, Washington DC, and Dallas.
Kellie attended a week-long bouquet design class in Chicago and became more confident designing bridal bouquets, so the pair started working with an event planner out of Madisonville, KY. They worked alongside Prim & Proper Events providing florals for their clients doing mostly wedding work up until 2022.
There have been many weddings, life events, ups, and downs between 1991 and today, but years later, these two sisters are still doing what they love.
